A post shared widely on social media purports to show a leaked video of Bill Gates presenting a vaccine plan to “immunize” religious fanatics, to the Pentagon, the headquarters of the U.S. Department of Defense. The video is considered a hoax that has been circulating for years.
Examples of the recent posts can seen in several places. Older versions link the purported “leaked video” to a government conspiracy or plan to eradicate religious freedoms. The hoax has led to many false conspiracy claims, including a website dedicated to this “plan” titled, “Stop FunVax Now!” ( funvax.wordpress.com/about/ ).
Broadly, the four to five minute video (See video below) ) shows a man presenting a slideshow on the “VMAT2”, or “God gene” and a vaccine called “FunVac” or “FunVax” to eliminate it. The discussion with the attendees includes the argument that religious fundamentalists would pose less of threat if they receive this vaccine. The presenter claims the proposal for this plan has “just been submitted”. He concludes by claiming the project has “great promise”.
It is clear, by looking at higher definition versions of this video, that the presenter is NOT Bill Gates. A spokesperson for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation confirmed to Reuters via email that the video does not show Bill Gates.
The video may have been inspired by the book “The God Gene: How Faith Is Hardwired into Our Genes” by Dr Dean Hamer. The book discusses how “a variation in the VMAT2 gene plays a role in one’s openness to spiritual experiences”.
Since at least 2011, the video has been subject to scrutiny over its origins and creation on many online forums providing different theories. Some point to awkward lip syncing or tones of voice, others to the large font used for the date and timestamps, and some hint that the men in the video may be actors.
The video includes images of brain scans.
It remains unclear if the video was created as a prank, a creative project, or out of genuine belief in the conspiracy. However, details in the video hint toward it being staged and not an authentic “leak”, and higher definition versions clearly show the presenter is not Bill Gates.
Reuters readily dismisses the video as false but that is to be expected given that the news agency is owned by the Rothschild dynasty.

Moreover, while Reuters dismisses the video there is an undeniable resemblance between the presenter in the 2005 video and the younger Bill Gates. He even sounds like Gates with the same distinctive nasal twang.
So it’s no surprise that Reuters and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation have denied that the video features Bill Gates. After all, he is currently leading a campaign for global vaccination against Covid-19 and a video purportedly showing a younger Gates describing how people can be vaccinated against religious fervour is the last thing he wants.
So while we reserve judgement we leave readers to make up their own minds whether the video features Bill Gates.
One final point. While the speaker in the video may not be a younger Bill Gates it may be one of his doubles. After all, we know that many prominent politicians use doubles, so why not Bill Gates? — Ed

If the video is genuine, it’s scary. Because it talks of a vaccine that is not only compulsory but that will be forced on millions of people in order to CHANGE THE WAY THEY THINK! ….. The vaccine is designed to alter the genetic structure of the brain, turning “religious fanatics” (like devout Christians, Hindus, Buddhists and Muslims) and into nice “ordinary people” (i.e. into godless “freethinkers” like Bill Gates).
The corollary of this is creepy: if a vaccine can allegedly improve someone’s bad character by tinkering with the genes in their brain, then a vaccine can also turn good people into bad people. It can make a model citizen morph into a Manchurian candidate or into a psychopathic serial killer. [LD]
